Covenants and Restrictions

As a conservation easement DRP is committed to maintaining the natural harmony of the neighborhood. Restrictions are in place to ensure the development maintains the vision created by the developers. The By-Laws outline how the Homeowners Association functions and ensure there is proper governance. DRP operates under the non-profit Corporation Act as well the Planned Community Act of N.C. Design Review Guidelines

The intent is for all homes to fit in concert with the natural habitat. The guidelines are established to protect the environment and still ensure homeowners can build the home they desire. Although some accommodation is made for lawns, the desire is for the land to be left in its native state. In an effort to maintain the natural fauna, homeowners are encouraged to minimize lot clearing and limit non-native species of plants. Guidelines are in place regarding changes and improvements - all in an effort to ensure the desired appearance. Our design review committee works closely with homeowners and builders to safeguard the look and feel of Drovers Road Preserve.

Community Rules

Rules exist to protect the environment as well as the quality of life of the homeowners. These rules are modified and amended from time to time based on input from the Community members.
